San Louis Obispo, California - 1968

The Concept

Like a typical religious/church design, this structure was designed to put into material form the tenets of a belief system or religion.
This is a Temple of the Mind and was designed to reflect the clean orderliness of an uncluttered mind and it's harmony with nature.
This is represented by the simple straight clean lines of the building on a circular site reflecting how life tends to complete a cylcle and return to it's origin.
